Salton Sea

The very talented designer, Kirstin Fox (of Castle Bride Couture) and I collaborated a photoshoot, using her one-of-a-kind headpieces.

During our photoshoot, we all cheated death that day...of course making the experience all the more exciting. The Salton Sea is a very odd and mysterious place, filled with characters that most of us couldn't even dream up. Because of our near death experience, we were forced to shoot at a less desirable location down the street from our location of choice. We ended up having 20 minutes to shoot the whole thing. Needless to say, while I am happy to be alive (along with the other girls), I am furious that we had next to no time to shoot. Having said that, I am pleased with the results, under the circumstances.

A note to other photographer's that wish to shoot at the Salton Sea...please bring a crowd of people with you for protection...preferably Men.

Jennifer Models

While visiting WPPI's trade show in Las Vegas this year, my friend Ray Soemarsono (of Apertura Photo) and I were itching for a shoot. We payed a visit to Red Rock Canyon to photograph my lovely associate photographer, Jennifer Daigle. She was so kind as to model for us in freezing cold weather. I'm sure you'll agree that she is a natural born model. These are some of my top favorites.

This first pic is hilarious, as Ray shows Jennifer how to strike a pose. I couldn't resist. I think Ray has another career ahead of him...perhaps the next Miss Jay of America's Next Top Model. HAHA!

Bella's Favorite Things

I haven't posted pics of Bella for some time now, so I am thrilled that I brought my camera along during our visit to one of Bella's favorite places in the whole wide world...Pinkberry.

I have to admit that the first time I ever had one, it was not a very pleasant taste. But, it's the kind of thing that grows on you. Bella likes all things that look and feel like ice cream. In these photos, you can certainly tell that she is truly enjoying herself and in the ice cream zone. YUMMY!!!

Some other items that Bella is currently favoring these days are anything princess-like, and lots and lots of jewelry...thanks to Grandma.

She has become a girly-girl. It's a wonder where that came from. HA!! I've said it before, and I'll say it again, "I am having the time of my life with Bella. I am in love with being her Mommy. She has brought so much joy into my life." :-)

1930's Boudoir

Had a Brilliant time photographing this fun, fun, fun photo session. I've been wanting to shoot a 1930's French Inspired Boudoir for some time now. As a photographer that primarily shoots weddings, events and portraits, I am limited to capturing images of what I see happening. But, when I have a chance to capture stills from my imagination, it's like having an outer body experience. While it was quite challenging, I am happy with the final outcome.

I'd like to thank the wonderful people that dedicated their time and beautiful items to this photoshoot, including my friend Ray whom I love planning these photoshoots with. Thanks for helping me make this happen. I can't wait for our next adventure:
Leanna Flecky of Collective Closets - Wardrobe Stylist
Kirsten Fox of Castle Brides - Hats (veils)
Tessa Stull - Makeup
Kali Hana - Hair
Jessica Lowe - Model
Tiffany Shiau - Model

Jossara Jinaro

Nothing like a friend helping out a friend....Jossara so kindly modeled for me so I can practice using light in a completely different way than I am use to or even comfortable with. Isn't she gorgeous??!! It was quite challenging and took much time to set up, but I think the results were well worth it. Thanks Joss for being so patient!
