DAY THREE - Los Angeles Dodgers

I just can't get enough of those Dodgers. This time around, the Los Angeles Dodgers came to Childrens Hospital Los Angeles to spend time with the patients there. One of their biggest fans greeted them in the lobby and they showered her with gifts and autographed many prized possesions for her. Jennifer and I had a wonderful time capturing some really special moments.

There's nothing like giving back, and ThinkCure! along with the LA Dodgers and the McCourt Family help to fund innovative research projects at both Childrens Hospital Los Angeles and City of Hope to help cure cancer.

DAY TWO - Los Angeles Dodgers

The Los Angeles Dodgers came for a second visit to the City of Hope. This time, more Dodgers! I got a kick out of Tommy Lasorda and his bigger than life personality. Patients and Visitors enjoyed meeting the players, having their pictures taken with them, and receiving their autographs.

From Left to Right: Blake DeWitt, Rudy Law, Stephen J. Forman, M.D., broadcaster Charley Steiner, Tommy Davis, Fernando Valenzuela, Michael A. Friedman M.D., Tommy Lasorda, Andre Ethier, Brad Ausmus and Hiroki Kuroda.

I love this picture taken in the teen music room! The man on the microphone is Dodgers owner Frank McCourt. As you can see, the guys were having a great time during their jam session.

DAY ONE - Los Angeles Dodgers

The Los Angeles Dodgers paid a visit to patients of City of Hope. It is something magical to see the smiles that they bring to these patients. Among those that attended were Matt Kemp, Delwyn Young, James McDonald, Ken Landreaux and ThinkCure President Janet Clayton.

Jonas Brothers

A Private Event with the Jonas Brothers was held at the home of Danny DeVito and Rhea Perlman. I had the honor, along with Jennifer to photograph this wonderful event. The proceeds will support Fran Kaufman's Diabetes Program at Childrens Hospital Los Angeles. The Jonas Brothers gave a private acoustic performance to around 150 screaming girls, and some boys. Each guest had a chance to meet the brothers, get their autograph, and have a picture taken with them. Entertainment Tonight interviewed the Jonas Brothers and covered part of the event, while fabulous Chef Lala cooked up some wonderful bites for the guests to enjoy.

I love this little girls face...she's a happy camper.

Nick did a solo piece for the guests, while playing the piano.

Is Joe looking at me?

Nautica Malibu Triathlon

I had the honor of photographing the Nautica Malibu Triathlon for Childrens Hospital Los Angeles again for the second year. There was plenty of excitement, as Jennifer Lopez and Matthew McConaughey were amongst the many athletes that entered this race and raised money for charity. The downside was trying to work alongside the brutal paparazzi! Arghh!!

Jennifer Lopez finished the race in 2 hours, 23 minutes and 28 seconds. It was quite sweet to see her husband, Marc Anthony, cheer her on at every moment. By the way, she raised a whopping $127,000.00 for Childrens Hospital Los Angeles. Woohoo!

Here's a little sneak peek (more to come).

Childrens Hospital Los Angeles

I had a wonderful opportunity to photograph Childrens Hospital of Los Angeles' Annual Prom and Radiothon along with my partner in crime, Jennifer Daigle. Celebrating its 5th year in raising money for the hospital, the Radiothon is hosted by 104.3 KBIG and sponsored by Foresters. Many volunteers (including my new friends Camille and Josephine) came out to answer phones and support the hospital and the children. What a wonderful event to raise money and one of the best organizations. If you are feeling generous, please donate to Childrens Hospital Los Angeles. Every little bit can help.

In addition to the Radiothon, the hospital organizes the most spectacular prom for the children of the hospital and their families. Celebrity guests come out to visit with the kids as well. The main lawn of the hospital was decorated for the festivities, prom dresses were brought in for the girls and tuxedos for the boys. Make-up artists and hair stylists were available to get the girls all dolled-up and KBIG DJ's played great tunes all night.

Some of the celebrity guests present were KBIG DJ's, Irma Blanco, Kari Steele and St. John, Adrienne Bailon of the Cheetah Girls, Brenda Song of "The Suite Life of Zack and Cody", Kay Panabaker of "Phil of the Future", Mel B of the Spice Girls, Maria Menounos of Access Hollywood, Wilmer Valderrama of "That 70's Show", Susie Castillo of MTV's TRL, Shane Sparks of "So You Think You Can Dance" and MTV's "America's Best Dance Crew", Miss USA 2007 Rachel Smith, Super Cr3w and SoReal Cru of MTV's "America's Best Dance Crew".
