The Grosso Family

My best friend and her familia headed up to the Claremont Colleges to take their 2007family portraits. We settled on Scripps College, which we believe is the most beautiful of them all. It's like being in New York during the Fall Season with the colorful leaves and crisp, cold air. I had fun chasing after the adorable twins, and little Miss Sophia just takes my breath away with her beauty. I think we have a model in the making. Lisa looked darling in her BCBG dress and cute bob haircut. Okay Steve, you looked great too! I hope you all enjoy some of my favorites of the one of the most vivacious families I know.

I love this picture! Look at those legs on Lisa. I guess being a professional dancer doesn't hurt at all...

...but, apparently it hurt Steve's back when I asked him to lift Lisa up. She had a good laugh, and I hear Steve is still feeling it. Sorry Steve!

I call the Grosso's "Party of Five"

Hilary and Ryan's E-Session

HUGE New York Yankee Fan, Ryan Peralta asked Hilary to marry him at Balboa Beach. They got to relive this wonderful moment during our photo session. It was frrrrrrreezing and windy while we were shooting, but we were all troopers. Hilary's gorgeous, curly hair had a personality of its own during the wind storm. She had to keep flipping it around so as not to have constant hair in her face. HA! It had just rained the day before, so we really lucked out as far as the weather was concerned. And of course, the big puffy clouds that painted the sky were amazing. Hilary and Ryan were a blast to hang out with. I'm really looking forward to photographing their wedding day, coming up in June.

The Rey Family

My dear friends, The Rey's and I headed down to their local park to take their 2007 Holiday photos. Cameron wanted to head straight for the playground, and rightfully so. All of our efforts to get him away from the playground failed, even the best one of them all, "Santa needs the family picture, so he remembers who we are." It just goes to show that kids are much smarter than we give them credit for. HA! I eventually came up with a great idea. I told Cameron that if he let me take pictures of him, then I would let him use my camera to take pictures of me. To my surprise, he listened to every detailed description I gave him on how to use the camera and he did a fabulous job. Now, I know who is taking my family photos this year. I would have posted some of his pics, but they revealed something about me that I am not sure I want to share with everybody...I'm even dorkier than I thought. Needless to say, I think I had more fun than anyone else. I hope you enjoy their photo session.

Sheryl and Walt being very playful. Sheryl is a professional dancer and studio owner (LA Dance Connection in Whittier, CA) and I just got a kick out of her pose in this shot. So elegant and dainty.
