Erin and Michael's Wedding

Erin and Michael exchanged vows at South Shores Church in Dana Point and celebrated their union at "Irons in the Fire" San Clemente Municipal Golf Course.

It was a joy to witness the love that these two share for one another. It just gives you that warm fuzzy feeling inside.

For some personal touches, Erin designed her wedding gown, which was a beautiful fit for her perfect shape. The couple also decided to see each other before the ceremony, and to meet at the same bluff that Mike proposed. It was quite romantic. Another great idea was to have a martini bar carved of ice, serving a signature drink called the Normintini (Norminton is Mike's last name).

Thanks to Andie Martinez for helping out on this one. We had a wonderful time celebrating with Erin, Mike, their lovely family and friends.

YVONNE

I went to Honolulu, Hawaii to photograph a wedding with my dear friend, Ray. The day before the wedding, we jumped at the opportunity to photograph beautiful model, Yvonne Midkiff. She is absolutely stunning! We photographed her in the mosquito infested tropical jungle near Pali Hwy. What a trooper Yvonne was, despite the many bites she endured regardless of being coated with mosquito repellent.

Poor Ray hurt himself by trying to cross a stream with his Converse shoes. He hit a slippery patch and landed right on his booty, bruising his tailbone and splitting his ankle open. Luckily he recovered pretty quickly and did not damage any of his equipment.

I, on the other hand, had a wonderful time with only a few bites and no injuries.

Stacy and Scott's Wedding

On rare occasion, I will have a bride and groom hire me without ever having met me. Scott and I had a few conversations over the phone, and from that I learned of his interest in photography. It was obvious that photography was one of the most important elements of his special day. I happen to believe that photography is a personal and intimate thing. It is very important to me to make a connection with my clients. Unfortunately, time did not allow for it in this case. Scott had a great idea to e-mail me a few pictures of him and Stacy and his family so at the very least I would know who they were when I arrived. He also informed me that he and Stacy had a beautiful little boy named Spencer whom has more piercing eyes than his Mommy (which was hard to believe at first).

When Jennifer and I arrived at The Island Hotel in Newport Beach (where Stacy got ready), we hoped for the best before we entered, and when we knocked at the door it was like entering into a dream. Not only was she "super-model" gorgeous, she was charming and a pro in front of the camera. I had a blast photographing her.

Stacy and Scott exchanged vows at the Bahia Corinthian Yacht Club, an intimate setting overlooking the harbor. The details of Stacy's day were very important to her as she designed mostly everything and dedicated all of her time to this portion of the wedding. Her colors were blue, orange and white accented with seahorses and seashells. It was so fresh, vibrant and beachy...perfect for the location.

After the ceremony, Stacy shouted, "That was so much fun...I want to do it again!"

What a wonderful experience it was to work with this lovely couple. The love that they have for one another was quite apparent. They had mentioned to me that the marriage was a long time coming...well, I am happy for them that it finally came. Congratulations to you!

Please enjoy some of my favorites from their BIG DAY!

Alexandra's Bat Mitzvah

Well, it's official, the Goldmann girls are all grown up. Seems like yesterday that I photographed Alana's (Alexandra's sister) Bat Mitzvah. I can't say enough nice things about the Goldmann's. They are among my favorite clients to date...a truly warm and fun family.

Alexandra's big day was held at Oak Park Community Center and Gardens in Agoura Hills, CA. Mr. B's Flowers created adorable centerpieces that represented Alexandra's Broadway Musical theme.

It is very rare that a photographer is allowed to take pictures during the ceremony itself. However, since the ceremony was not conducted in a Temple, the usual restrictions were lifted. What a wonderful experience to be able to capture those moments. The ceremony was beautiful, and Alexandra did a fabulous job. Her Father, Steven Goldmann (director/filmmaker of Collective Films) along with her Mother, Stephanie were so very proud.

You must know that the talented Alexandra is a quadruple threat...she acts, sings, dances and plays more than one instrument. Talk about blessed!

While perusing through this collection of images, you will notice that Jennifer and I made an appearance. We really felt the need to join the party. Are we dorks or what? Haha! Enjoy!
