Erin and Mike's E-Session

Erin and Mike absolutely ROCK!!! Honestly, after my photo session with these two, I was on cloud nine. They were such a joy to be around. The love that they had for one another was so obvious and their adventurous nature was certainly contagious...made me feel like I was a young girl again. We went to San Juan Capistrano Mission for the first portion of our session and then ended up at the local beach nearby. I don't normally do the whole beach getting-wet-in-the-water thing as so many other photographer's do...but, Mike was inspired by a photo that I shot many years ago of a couple laying in the sand together...very sexy shot. I don't regret one moment of our adventure. In fact, they had me in stitches as I witnessed their fearlessness...they completely went for it.

When we left the beach, they held hands as I trailed behind thinking, "this couple is going to last a lifetime." Just as those thoughts lingered through my mind, I noticed an elderly couple sitting in two lawn chairs next to one another, holding hands, sharing a blanket and watching the sunset. I rushed home to my husband and daughter feeling very lucky and blessed.

Thank you Erin and Mike for a wonderful day in which I will never forget. You made a HUGE impression.

Sasha and Ryan's E-Session

Who says you can't meet your true love at a bar? Really cool and laid back couple, Sasha and Ryan squash that myth! The story goes that Sasha even made the first move. I truly enjoyed hearing that. :-)

We initially planned to shoot on and near Hermosa Beach's overcrowded pier. Once Ryan spotted a friend, he became a little camera shy. It didn't take long for me to make the decision to move our session elsewhere. So, after a glass of wine at their place, we ended up shooting in the back alleyways of their neighborhood, and then we took a quick stroll down one of the more secluded beaches nearby.

I am really looking forward to shooting their wedding at Shutters on the Beach in Santa Monica, CA next month.

Sainvie and Ian

Westin Hotel in Pasadena, California is where Sainvie and Ian exchanged vows. They had an outdoor wedding in the garden of the Hotel where they included a wooden bridge over the main fountain. This certainly added some charm to the setting.

For some personal touches, Sainvie (being an artist) designed her invitation and wedding program which were quite stunning.

The reception was unusual in that in lieu of dancing, the couple was serenaded by many of their guests throughout the evening. There was a wonderful moment where Sainvie surprised Ian by serenading him, and he happily joined her. Their guests also enjoyed an assortment of video presentations prepared by Dan Boswell of DV Artistry.

Vendors:
Venue: Westin Pasadena
Event Coordinator: Mrs. May Hanafi and Ms. Marcia Vidal
Videographer: DV Artistry
Flowers and Decor: Exquisite Flower, Los Angeles, CA
Wedding Cake: Vanille de Patisserie Grace, San Marino, CA
Make-Up Artist: Nicole Studio
DJ: Music Entertainment Services

Sainvie's friends talked her into wearing contact lenses for the first time on her wedding day. They pinned her down and had to make several attempts before they successfully inserted the lenses. It was a hilarious and scary moment.
