Ryan is Two Years Old!

I spent a wonderful day with the Alavi Family in Long Beach, CA. Little Ryan is turning two tomorrow. I can't believe how quick they grow up. It seems like yesterday that I was photographing him in his bumble bee costume, and the following year I remember trying to photograph him while he swiftly crawled around his house. It was difficult to catch him then...you can only imagine how quick he is now. He definitely gave me the work out I've been needing for some time now. HA! As you can see, Ryan is growing to be a gorgeous little boy with dreamy eyes and a conspicuous smile.

I arrived during nap time. I nearly scared him when he woke. Good thing Mom was near by.

Mom comforting Ryan after the big scare.

Bath time!

Check out Ryan's cool dinasour robe.

Mom dresses him for the photos.

Mom and Dad present Ryan with his new toy...a motorcycle! I think he likes it.

Playtime at the park.

YIPPIE!!

That motorcycle again!

Doesn't this look fun?

Parents look on as Ryan practices his independence.

....and yet again with his independence.

TGIF - Play Date With Bella

What a wonderful day! I took the whole day off today...didn't even turn on my computer. Okay, so I made a few calls and went to the post office to send client packages, but I promise...beyond that, there was no work. I spent the day with my daughter and her friends, Ella, Gia and Sophia. Their playdate was a blast. Because I work from home, Bella doesn't get that much time to socialize with other kids her age so I am working it in my schedule to include more playdates. By the end of her day, she is ready to sleep the night away. This freed up time for my husband and I to have a movie marathon later that night. We rented No Country for Old Men, The Things We Lost In The Fire and La Vie En Rose. I had higher expectations for the first two...unfortunately they fell short for me. However, La Vie En Rose had an incredible performance by Marion Cotillard. She is well deserving of her Oscar win! Even if you're not a foreign film buff (like me), check it out. And, please please do something just for yourself this week. I promise you, you won't regret it.

Shelby and Josh's Wedding

Young and inlove couple, Shelby and Josh married at Cimarron Golf Resort located in the beautiful Palm Springs. It was a cold and windy day...rare for the desert. The rain clouds were near by, but held off until the end of the evening.

Shelby and Josh met racing motorcycles! I was told of a story of Shelby winning a race and then taking her helmut off to reveal her gorgeous, long, blonde hair. What a site that must have been. I so want to live vicariously through her. In my next life, I am going to be a daredevil.

One of my favorite parts of the wedding was when the couple made their grand exit in a beautiful Mustang classic, surprisingly called the "Shelby" GT 350. Wow! Just the sound of the engine revving sent chills down my spine.

Shelby and Josh...I wish for you both a wonderful life together filled with lots of love and success.

Please enjoy some of my favorite images from their day.

Photographer Assistant, Jennifer Daigle took this priceless photo. Too cool!
